This blog grew out of my seeing wonderful things online (and in stores), but not needing them. I think someone needs or wants these things but may not know about them so why not share the great finds. Originally, I only looked at sale and inexpensive items, but because those tend to sell out more quickly older posts were somewhat obsolete. Now, I just look for great ideas. Things I would want to read about and see. Hopefully, I will intersperse ideas on how to use each item as well as photos, retailer, and price information. Odds are, I will look at items that are appealing without being ordinary and definitely not things you could find anywhere and everywhere (like batteries or running shoes). I do not consider myself a style expert, just someone who appreciates beauty and has my own sense of style.
Each blog entry will have something I think is pretty, fun, cool, would make a nice gift (for someone else or for yourself), or has shopping or gift giving tid bits. Posting things I find online that I like, but truly do not need, let’s me enjoy them and pass the idea on to someone who may need just that item at that moment.
You should know, the only benefit I receive from doing is satisfaction and enjoyment — no compensation, commissions, kickbacks, advertising revenue, or bribes (darn!). Exceptions to that include when I post something that I created in my other career as a graphic designer and photographer, but even then it’s peanuts.
